Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I have two decades of expertise in Marketing and Business Development across the Asia Pacific Region. Commencing my career at the regional head office in Hong Kong, I've been dedicated to enhancing business performance through collaboration with diverse stakeholders in Asia Pacific.
Why did you decide to look into studying again, and why did you choose RMIT Online?
In 2021, I relocated to Australia, bringing with me 20 years of experience in the marketing field. Despite my extensive background, I recognised a gap in my skill set in fast changing in digital marketing techniques, which is very crucial for advancing my marketing career.
Having previously served as a Market Development Manager, I identified the significance of marketing analytics in today's landscape. Undertaking digital marketing and marketing analytics courses has not only filled the void in my skill set but has also strengthen confidence in my ability to navigate the evolving marketing landscape and contribute effectively in the workplace.
Since completing the course, how have you been able to apply your new learnings?
I have recently secured an internship through the Digital Job Program with the Victorian Government. I am eager to apply my newfound knowledge that I have learned in the course and contribute effectively in the workplace.
How did you balance working, social life and studying?
One aspect I particularly appreciate about the course is its flexibility. The accessibility of Canvas allows me to learn at my own pace and catch up on webinars even if I miss them initially. Juggling drop-off and pick-up duties, this flexibility is a game-changer, enabling me to make the most of wait times during my son's lessons. All you need is a computer or a smartphone, making Canvas incredibly user-friendly and accessible.
Would you recommend this course? If so why?
I highly recommend RMIT Online for its cutting-edge courses that stay in sync with industry leaders. The inclusion of real-world experiences from professionals in the workplace is definitely added value. I really like the mentor sessions offering advice from hands-on experience within the industry.
